Diploma of Community Services (Case Management)

This Qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, coordinating and/or delivering of person – centered service to individuals, groups and communities. 

At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities.

Including: CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services and CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support and selected Higher Education Pathways.

  • CHCPRP003 Reflect on and improve own professional practice
  • HLTWHS004 Manage work health and safety

  • 18 years at the commencement of the course.
  • Australian Police Clearance Check required.
  • Have a reasonable level of physical fitness to practice manual handing.
  • International Students are required to have IEL TS 5.5 level or higher with no band less than 5.0; OR
  • An Upper Intermediate level certificate from ELI COS; OR
  • Completed at least 6 months of study in an Australian educational institution.

Mode of Delivery: Face to face on campus for 20 hours/wk + 10 hours/wk self-study per week  and a 400  hours structured work placement.

Duration: 104  weeks (2 year) (including 80 training weeks and 24 weeks holiday)
