Course Details

Our Certificate IV in Ageing Support is ideal for international students and individuals with experience in care or community services who want to advance their skills in the aged care sector.

This qualification focuses on work in residential facilities or home settings, following organisational guidelines and care plans.

You’ll learn to support individual wellbeing through personal care, assist those with complex needs, and work effectively with groups of older people.

Entry Requirements
  • Have completed equivalent to Australian Year 12 or Certificate III in a CHC Package Qualification

Others:

  • Package with CHC33021 Cerificate III in Individual Support
  • Have completed a Certificate III in CHC qualification (in related fields of study) and 1 year equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience at a significant level of leadership and management responsibility and/or complexity in an enterprise.
  • Student must have access to working Pc or laptop with a configuration suitable to meet study requirements.
  • Student must have access to working internet.
English Entry Requirements
  • International Students are required to have IELTS 6.0 level or equivalent.

Mode of Delivery: Face to face on campus for 20 hours/wk + 10 hours/wk self-study per week and a 120 hour structured work placement.

Duration: 52 weeks (1 year) (including 40 training weeks and 12 weeks holiday)
