Course Details

This course is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals, families, and communities. It prepares students for roles in community services focused on delivering, managing, and coordinating person-centred support.

Graduates will develop skills to assess client needs, manage cases, facilitate community development, and work collaboratively within teams to support people facing diverse challenges. The course also covers legal and ethical compliance, cultural diversity, and workplace health and safety.

Entry Requirements
  • Have completed equivalent to Australian Year 12 or Certificate III or Certificate IV in a CHC Package Qualification
  • Have completed a Diploma of any qualification

Others:

  • Package with CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support
  • Package with CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support
  • Student must have access to working Pc or laptop with a configuration suitable to meet study requirements.
  • Student must have access to working internet.
English Entry Requirements
  • International Students are required to have IELTS 6.0 level or equivalent.

Mode of Delivery: Face to face on campus for 20 hours/wk + 10 hours/wk self-study per week  and a 400  hours structured work placement.

The 400-hour work placement is divided into two parts: 200 hours are completed during the sixth term, and the remaining 200 hours are completed during the eighth term, each with a different host employer.

Duration: 104  weeks (2 year) (including 80 training weeks and 24 weeks holiday)

Location: Parramatta Campus
